Research at the Institute of Solids Process Engineering and Particle Technology at TUHH

报告简介

Prof. Stefan Heinrich will give a general overview about the ongoing research at the Institute of Solids Process Engineering and Particle Technology, whereby the focus is on the fluidized bed technology. His group investigate unit operations as well as physical and chemical transport processes of solids and phenomena on surfaces, interfaces and inner structures of particles. The major research area is formulation, processing and design of particles by coating, encapsulation, granulation and agglomeration, mainly by spray-fluidized beds but also by spray drying. Experimental investigations with novel developed measurement methods are supported and compared by hierarchically structured theoretical approaches. The model development includes molecular modelling, particle-based methods, continuous models as well as flowsheet simulations of solids processes, whereas simulations consider individual particles, bulk solids and multiphase particle laden flows. 

嘉宾简介

Prof. Stefan Heinrich is Full Professor at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and Director of the Institute of Solids Process Engineering and Particle Technology (SPE). He is editor of the Elsevier journals “Advanced Powder Technology” and “Particuology”, chairman of the German Working Party on Agglomeration and Bulk Solids Technology, as well as of the EFCE Working Party on Agglomeration. For his research activities in fluidized bed spray granulation Prof. Heinrich received the DECHEMA-Prize 2015.
